The Barbados Football Association (BFA) was founded in 1910
and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010.
The Barbados Football Association has officially unveiled a new grass field located next to Wildey Turf in honour of one of Barbados' greatest footballers. It will be named " The Phillip Blagrove Training Pitch" after one of the island and Caribbean's best goal keepers - Phillip Blagrove. The former Notre Dame and Barbados goal keeper is famous for saving a penalty from Paul Davis in the second leg of a first round pre-Olympic qualifer in Kingston, Jamaica. It came after Adrian Hall's first half strike gave Barbados the lead and was eventually the winning goal in the 1987 match. The new grass pitch was funded by Concacaf.
