and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010.

Barbados – The Barbados Football Association
(BFA) has announced the National Under 17 Girls Squad and their Management Team
travelled to Trinidad yesterday to compete in two ‘friendlies’ against the
Trinidad and Tobago Football Association’s (TTFA) High Performance Under 17 Women’s
team and an Under 17 Girls Schools League team.
As part of
an arrangement between the BFA and the TTFA, the BFA revealed Team Barbados are
playing two matches at the St. Joseph Convent in Port of Spain, Trinidad which
are important development opportunities for the team to obtain match experience
and gain further exposure to regional competition.
Barbados’ National Under 17 Girls were defeated 7-2
by the TTFA High Performance Under 17 Women’s team today (with the Barbadian goals
scored by Rashauna Edwards and Tekoa
Hope-Downes) and they will play an Under 17
Girls Schools League team on Friday, before returning to the island on the same
day.
