National Under 17 Girls Squad Heads to Trinidad for ‘Friendlies’

Bridgetown, Barbados – The Barbados Football Association (BFA) has announced the National Under 17 Girls Squad and their Management Team travelled to Trinidad yesterday to compete in two ‘friendlies’ against the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association’s (TTFA) High Performance Under 17 Women’s team and an Under 17 Girls Schools League team.

As part of an arrangement between the BFA and the TTFA, the BFA revealed Team Barbados are playing two matches at the St. Joseph Convent in Port of Spain, Trinidad which are important development opportunities for the team to obtain match experience and gain further exposure to regional competition.

Barbados’ National Under 17 Girls were defeated 7-2 by the TTFA High Performance Under 17 Women’s team today (with the Barbadian goals scored by Rashauna Edwards and Tekoa Hope-Downes) and they will play an Under 17 Girls Schools League team on Friday, before returning to the island on the same day.
